three miscarriages in a row

I have had three miscarriages in a row and don't know what to do next. On my second miscarriage they did the million dollar work up and everything came back normal. I even tried taking an asprin and progestrone daily as soon as I ovulated for the third pregnancy but at four weeks I was miscarring again. The only test I haven't done is the HSG. My doctor told me that it probably won't do anything. Does anyone have any advise on what I should do next? I'm changing doctors next month to get different opinions but I'm feeling very hopeless these days. Why can't I hold a pregnancy????

Sorry for your loss. Trust me I know how frustrating & upsetting it is. I also just had my 3rd miscarriage.  After the 2nd, I had a lot of blood work done & they said I had an auto antibody--cardiolipin. I was told to take baby asprin a month before trying again, and up to 32 weeks of pregnancy.  I was so excited when I became pregnant again, but I went for a sonogram at 8 weeks, and was told the bad news!!!.  I am going for my 3rd d & c on Friday.  My doctor told me that he will send me & my husband for genetic testing, maybe that can find an answer for why I cant hold the pregnancy.  Good luck, maybe a new dr will be able to help you figure out what the problem is

Sorry to hear that you are going through the same thing. We already did the Genetic testing and everything came back normal. Part of me wants to find something wrong so it can be fixed. Hang in there.

Do you know your blood type?  If you are o-negative you will need additional meds to support your pregnancy.  There is an injection you need if this is the case.  I am so sorry to hear about your mc!  Don't lose hope.....  you may need to know your husband's blood type.  Perhaps he has o neg?   (If you mix o-neg blood with another blood type the oneg will attack the other as something foreign.  RH is what is positive or neg. (it's either there or it's not) and the 2 don't mix.
Did you ever get the antibody test using your blood and your DH sperm?    That can often tell you if there is a problem as well.  The HSG test is only to look at your uterus and fallopian tubes to be sure they are clear, working and if there are any obstructions like fibroids and their exact locations. Keep us updated!

I know my husband is an O but I'm not sure if he is neg or pos. I'm a B positive. I've have never heard of this so this does give me a little hope or at least a questions to ask my new doctor. We haven't had the antibody test either. Perhaps there are a few more tests that they can do. Thanks for all of your information. This is what I wanted to know. If you can think of any other tests out there, let me know. I'll keep you posted.

If your DH is O there is a chance he is o neg. and if he is, then his blood is attacking your emby.  You would need to get a shot called Rhogam.  Ask your obgyn or RE about it.  It is common.  Keep us posted!

i am also of the same type missed abortions are due to chromosomal mismatch have u done karyotyping for both of u consult your gyn and pls tell me what happened next because iam also in your same position i had 3 missed abortions and 1 ectopic i had last D&c now and so my gyn advised to be at rest for 3 months.if you could answer me i'll be thankful to u.all the best .always be with +ve thoughts

Yes my DH and I did the Karyotyping and everything came back normal. I meet with a RE for the first time on Friday. I'll let you know what happens.
