Hi,first time on the site,,,,Im on my 3rd try of gonal f,,doing an iui on monday...the doc was suprised when he did sonogram today cuz he saw 6 eggs on each side and the doc last week did not see so many. Is that number of eggs too many? My husband and I have been both checked out and thank god all is ok with us. Does the number of eggs mean I have a good chance (multiples would be great) thanks for the help
- the chance of high order multiples is just too great. I was told that if that happened, I would have the option of cancelling the cycle cycle or switching to IVF.
It depends if they are mature or not. What size are they? I would agree with princess Jam & Convert to IVF...........you don't want to wind up like Kate Gosselin plus 6. She conc'd those 6 babies via IUI.
than too - I know my doctor would make me either cancel the cycle, or do IVF and retrieve the eggs if I had more than 4. Anywhere between 2-3 mature (18-20MM) is good for IUI they say.
Thanks for all your answers, 2 of the eggs ar e good sized so far,,,,i think 18 and i still have another 2 days till iui,,gonna do ovidrel tonight....hope it works this time!
tHANKS KRICKET,,IM STILL NEW AT THIS SO WHEN THEY SAID 12 I FREAKED,,,TILL I READ ALL THE SITES THAT SAID ONLY THE ONES 16-18 WILL MATURE,,,, IUI TOMORROW,,,GOOD LUCK TO ME :)
Good Luck, 2 mature follies is good for IUI , they must have counted each one in your left and right ovary, even if they were tiny and not mature.. That's a good sign though! Best of luck, is this your first IUI?
had the iui,,,turns out only 3 were great sizes,,guess I should be grateful not to en d up with 12 babies,,,,cuz then what would that becalled??? now gonna hold my breath
