OK--I have to do a trigger shot tonight. My IUI is 8:30....which really means 9:15 or so for the actual procedure. Last time, the nurse said to do the shot between 8:00-10:00. MY IUI was done approx. 38 hours later.
We are not going to be at home tonight or in a situation for mixing meds and giving shots between 8:00-10:00 tonight. Sooo, should we do it at 6:00 before we go or do it after 11:00 when I get home.... Or does a few hours here or there really matter?
Well I think it is customary to have your trigger 36 hrs before your IUI. So, I would think before you leave would be optimum. Does your nurse/RE recommend 36 hrs before hand
Yes they recommend 36 hours, but last time my IUI was on Thanksgiving Day and the nurse could not come in until 11:00 and that made it 38 hours later after trigger.
We just got in and I did had the shot at 11:15pm...so I will be at 34 hours after trigger on Monday AM. Since I was two hours later last time and it did not work...I will be two hours earlier this time...who knows????? Maybe that's the trick! HA!
My poor booty is so sore...I don't think it could handle one more shot this month!!!!! OUCHY!
