trouble with clomid

i had an iui on sept 26th, which im pretty sure it didnt take this month. when they did my day 12 us they said my lining had the 3 layers but was on 6mm thick. re said its probably from the clomid and that if this last iui didnt work they would have to switch my meds. what do they put you on if clomid is causing problems?

My RE does not prescribe Femara. He put my on gonal-f after clomid thinned my lining. My lining has been much better on gonal-f. I am just starting my 3rd cycle now. Good luck!

thanks yall for all the info. i took another hpt tonight and it was bfn. im not supposed to test until sunday, but im impatient. i read that femara is for postmenopausal women only and if you are premenopausal not to take it? obvisouly we arent post so is it safe to take?

I had 3 unsuccessful cycles with clomid.  My lining was way too thin.

I was successful on my first cycle with Femara with trigger, and no side effects either (except getting pregnant).

I was on clomid for two cycles and had the same issue with thin lining..I was put on Letrozole for the next cycle..haven't been successful yet but I did not get so many side effects..
I definitely have heard from a lot of people about Letrozole not thinning the lining..

Hi Sweet Pea,

Stay positive!  I am 31 and on my first IUI cycle, after TTC for 3 years.  My Dr. did not want to put me on clomid so instead I was on Ferma/Letrozole plus FSH injections.  Maybe ask your DR. about going on this instead.  I have had no side effects so far from the drugs, and the lining and follicles were all great, so I was told.  I am now just on the 2ww now hoping this could be the month.
