trying to conceive.

My husband and I want a baby. We are having trouble though. I was told I have a tilted uterus and I only have a period every 4 to 5 months when I'm not on birthcontrol. Is there any options for us.

Hello,
First of all you need to find out the cause of these irregular periods and then treatment should be planned accordingly. The cause of irregular periods could be due to hormonal imbalance, stress, chronic illness, polycystic ovarian disease, thyroid gland disorders or diseases, pituitary gland tumors or cyst, galactorrhea, prolactinomas etc. You should consult a gynecologist and get examined and investigated as soon as possible to know the exact cause of all these episodes.

I hope it helps. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

A tilted uterus shouldn't affect conception, but the lack of period does. It indicates lack of or extremely irregular ovulation, and without ovulation you won't get pregnant. You need to see a doctor about different things you can do to try and get it under control and go from there. There are different medicines that can help force ovulation and such.
