Hi I had my done laporscopically, the surgery took about 2 hours or so I did stay in the hospital  overnight, but that is just cuz my dr wanted to make sure I was ok afterwards, I did have minor pain and brusing after, but I was back at work after a week , I got pregnant not too long after the procedure with no problems I am now 5 months pregnant, and just like you I only had clips...hope everything goes well

If you only had "clips" put on your tubes and they have not been cut, tied or burned at the middle or ends, like most tubal ligations; you should have good luck.

They do the surgery laporscopically, so you will only have tiny incisions.  After they remove the clips, they will flush your tubes with blue dye, to make sure the tubes are open.  The recovery time from this kind of surgery, is about 7-10 days.

Anytime the tubes are unclipped or even sewn back together, there IS a higher than average risk of a tubal pregnancy. (ectopic)  When you become pregnant, I am sure your doctor's will be doing an early ultrasound to make sure the pregnancy is in the uterus.

If both tubes are totally opened and their is no scar tissue, your chances of getting pregnant are the same as any other 38 year old woman.

I wish you the best of luck.  Hope you'll be announcing a pregnancy very soon.

All the best,
Heather
