twins?? how can you tell BEFORE u/s???

Has anyone not only had a pregnancy with a singleton but also had a pregnancy for twins???? I have this weird feeling that i may have released 2 eggs (had O cramps for more than the usual 1 day) and i know dreams dont always mean anything but mine normally do especially when i can easily remember them.  for instance i had 2 dreams in the same night that i got a bfp and 4 days later i got a faint bfp....sooo i kinda go with my dreams and gut feeling.  
I have had 5 other pregnancies besides this one, 3 ending in healthy babies, 2 ending in second trimester losses....and my symptoms for this one are wayyy differant.  with all of the others i had NO SYMPTOMS and with this one, i can barely touch my breasts and they hurt/ache, my back is constantly killing me, am peeing every 5 seconds (or so it seems) and am always exhausted.  so is it possible that i could truly be carrying twins?  i am 6weeks and 1day pregnant....also i have not changed my eating habits much, as my weight was staying steady but in the last few weeks i have gained a little over 5lbs.  please any input would be great...thanks

HCG levels are higher for twins (typically over 200 at 14 dpo) but w/o u/s you will not be able to tell.  Many women have the same symptoms you describe while carrying a singleton.  Also, every pregnancy is different.

My friend had 1 then twins and she said her symptoms were intesified with twins.

I have had two singletons and two sets of twins
my hcg were not indicative excpet maybe this set

my first set twins - I can't remember when I said this to the tech but at somepoint I said "either it is a boy or something is wrong because I am sicker"  well it was two boys

with this set - I was nauseous very very early - so I thought it was twins before my six week u/s (or maybe more than twins!!!)  I was not surprised when she told me there were two!!

but none of the 4 did I have any sore breasts

my name is jennifer and i had a tubal reversal after having my tubes ties for 8yrs. my reversal was on 2-2-09 and we found out we were preggers aug.20th 09. how do you know if your carrying twins. i know something about the beta levels. as of current i am 5 1/2 wks along im very much showing, my beta hcf count is 13799 what does it mean
