ultrasound

Good morning everyone - I just went for my first ultrasound today - I am 5 weeks 4 days - they saw 2 sacs - BABY A they saw a yolk sac Baby B - said is a little behind and not sure if seeing a yolk sac - I go back on 1/4 for repeat ultrasound - has this happened to anyone and was your outcome twins or just 1?

Congrats! My cousin did ivf and had the same thing and came out with twins. Everyone is different, but you just might be the mommy of 2! That's so exciting! I'm 4 weeks and 5 days and WISH they would do an u/s, but I have to wait til 1/14! I'm going crazy! It's like the 2WW all over again. Why would I have to wait that long?

I guess some offices dont' do u/s as often......but maybe insurance doesn't want to pay for so many.
I had my 2nd today & they told me baby is not growing as it should....I am about 5 weeks & 5 days.
My first u/s was great..........until today.  Praying for good levels but doesnt look good for me.

I did IUI with injectable meds - I had my IUI on 12/4 - was supposed to go back on 12/18 for my bw but on 12/13 my tests were coming out + so they moved my BETA appt to 12/16 and my level was 251 then they repeated it on 12/21 and it was 1416 - so today was my first scan and you can see the 2 sacs clear as day - you can see the yolk sac in A but can't really see in B - he said it can still be early but should know more when we go for another ultrasound on Tuesday again.

Praying for both of you. I'm a little nervous myself bc I woke up this morning and had a little stain of red blood. Not mugh at all..but still scary. Just got off the phone w the nurse and said I have to do bw tomorrow at 8:30. I went yesterday and it was 962, so I'm praying my levels haven't dropped and everything is fine. I did the same thing this past weekend and my RE said it was fine but I was scared anyways and went to the ER and my level was 339 on 12/25. It was a bit of relief but now I'm scared again.

When do you do your next bw to ck your levels? Praying your levels go up!

What are they saying?  What exactly are they NOT seeing that they want to see?  All that should be seen is an empty sac with a yolk?  I don't understand why they did that first u/s with you so early and how they could say it looked good then when there wasn't much there anyway that early?  Yesterday was 5wks 5 days for me and saw a yolk and a sac.

I wouldn't get too worried.  I bet everything is fine!

I found this yesterday when looking up what was normal to see at the time I had my u/s.  It is from a website that I found while google-ing"

I am an ultrasound tech and here is what you see weeks 4-6.  Week 4 you will most likely just have a thick endo with no gest sac, some see a very small sac late in week 4. Week 5 this is the week you see the gestational sac and also the yolk sac at about 5 and a half weeks. Very rare to see a fetal pole (baby) at even 5 weeks 6 days. Six weeks is when you can see the baby (transvaginally). Usually as soon as you see the baby you see the heart beat.

I am 5 weeks 4 days today they saw 2 sacs and 1 yolk sac - dr said it could be too early to see the other one - will def know more next week

They just called me with my blood work and my first BETA was 12/16 251 2nd 12/21 1416 and today 24,963!

Praying for the best to everyone!!!!  I'm stressing out waiting til the 4th for my first u/s.  I never had this issue with the last 4 as they were all conceived the "normal" way.  I'm going crazy!!!  I don't know what my levels are, I don't know if both took, and I don't know if I'm gonna make it til then!

I never had a problem carrying (that I was aware of anyway) but found out that I can no longer conceive hence the IVF.  Of course it's school vacation week and DD's 3 and 4 have been driving me nuts all week fighting.  As crazy as they're making me, waiting is making me even more crazy!!!

All I do know is, we implanted 2, my blood levels seem to be that of 1 taking and I'm nauseous here and there and tired of waiting!!!!

During U/s they measure that black dot embryo whatever it is called at that point.
Last week I was like between 4&5 weeks & the black baby dot measured about 4cm....they said it should be 5 or 6 now......and it basically stayed the same.

They have not called yet.......but we will see.

The black hole/mass/dot whatever you want to call it (lol) is a sac.  Yesterday when I went, by RE said it looked great and he wasn't even going to measure it.

I will pray for you and hope that it all turns out ok.  Let me know what your b/w shows.  He didn't even do any on me.  Once it at least doubles, they don't bother doing it again because it isn't going to show you much more after that.
