Hi. Im 24 yrs old. Been trying to concieve (conceive) for nearly a year now & just been diagnosed wid an underactive thyroid. Doctor reckons thats probably why i wasnt concieving as my hormone levels arnt right. Been put on 50mg thyroxine to start with. Gi back in 6 weeks to get bloods done again to see if my dose needs to be higher. Anyone have any experience on it? & how long it will take for my thyroid levels to right.
I did. Exact same thing as you, I went one time got put on 25mcg of levothyroxine, and then they upped it the next month to 50mcg and that has been perfect for me for almost a year and a half. After they got my levels regulated (2 months for me, some women it takes a while), I got the OK to TTC and I was pregnant 2 months later. I took it during my pregnancy and all was well. I know quite a few women that have gotten on thyroid medication and got pregnant immediately after, but my doctor warned me to make sure my levels were regulated before TTC because if they aren't it can cause miscarriage. Good luck hun!
Yeah well since i came off pill last may, been having very short cycles & also bleeding in my leutal phase so its no doubt been affecting my progestrone mayb. Other half had hes sperm tested hes good to go lol just waiting on me now :) hope they level out quickly like you.
