unruptured follicles w/ iui cycle

Has anyone had unruptured follicles when doing an iui cycle?
How do you know they are unruptured (ie, did your RE do a follow up ultrasound)?
Does anyone know how often this happens? I just had an iui cycle (2 back to back, at 24 and then 48 hours) and the dr thought I had started ovulating at the last one (which was on Weds) but I'm still having ovulation like pain which makes me wonder if I have a cyst from an unruptured follicle.  
Do cysts cause pain like that?

Mine have yet to rupture also! They can tell because the LH doesn't get high enough and this needs to reach a certain level which then triggers the rupture.Sometimes the dr can give you a HCG injection to do this, but that's up to them.

I wouldn't rely on pain to say it's a cyst. I got what felt like 'ovary pain' through my cycles but it was nothing. Completely normal.
