update with my ovarian cyst surgery

update with my ovarian cyst surgery

hi to all. i am out of surgery. i went in at 5:30a. m to the hospital and my surgery was at 7:30am. for some reason, it seemed liek they are just talking to me when i passed out. i didnt even know thats when they are putting me to sleep . before that i asked for a shot that will keep my from being nervouse. it helped. it made me sleepy too. after surgery , when i woke up, i just kept slippin in and out of sleep. and i ended up being in the recovery room from 8 am to almost 1pm. i was too nautious and dizzy to go to home. i finally peed and i got better and had my sister take me home. the ride home was only 5 minutes long but felt like a lifetime. i wanted to scream. i got home and slept for thirty minutes and up for thirty minutes until now that its 10pm. i am not sleepy now . but this is my thirty minutes awake. they ended up not taking out my whole ovary, thank God. at 3pm today, one of the three bandaids was bleeding so i went to the doctors office and she said that the stiches was kind of loose or something. she bandaided again. and i am fine now. the worse part is my sore throat. thank you all for your support and help throughout this journey with me. i will be here to listen to you all now with a more of a clear mind and be any help that i can to your needs. i love you all with all of my heart for being such carying individuals when you do have to. thank you again.
vista is my real name.

I am so happy for you. Thank god the did not remove your ovary. I had same surgery in 2003. They removed the cyst and did not remove the ovary. Only discomfort I had was the gas pain. Other than that recovery was fairly easy. Good luck and keep us posted.

I'm glad to hear you're doing well.  I had the same surgery when I was just 16! Actually, I almost died (not in surgery!) because I was too scared to tell my mom so I walked around hiding that pain for THREE DAYS and they said if I'd waited another day I could've bled to death internally - they sucked out several cups loose blood in my pelvic region.  So I know how much fun it is.  I hope you feel better soon!

I'm so happy they didn't take your ovary.  I'm glad your surgery went well.  Did they do a few pokes around your belly button or did they have to cut into you at your bikini line?

If they just went through your belly button you will feel better in about a week.

Thanks for keeping us posted.
