hello p'ple, just got back from my re's office for fluid u/s.she said she found something that looks like polyps and went ahead and scheduled me for hete...whatever.where she can be able to view with a microscope and probably take them out.she said she's not for sure but will tell when she looks with microscope.i was hoping to start my injectibles next week for my first ivf cycle but as you can see,i still have a long way to go.i just keep telling myself better to be well prepared rather than go ahead waste money and end up with a miscariage, has any one been in my shoes? i'm so down right now
I had surgery 12/27/07 for polyps I was told I could start injectibles on the next cycle. I did the hysteroscopy/ D&C late in my cycle, so I really didn't have to wait long. But I'm still not pg! It is an easy surgery, getting the anes. out of my system was the worst, but I had no pain at all.
i also had surgery for polys in my uteres 1/7/2007 with a procedure thas called D&C and i was up and running the next day, it was quik and easy, i dint get pregnant right away for other issues like PCOS and High prolactin levels but im 21 weeks 5 days pregnant with my little boy whos due in july!
Good Luck.
I have had 3 surgeries , hysteroscopy/ D&C for pylops. My last surgery was on 2/20/08 two weeks ago from today. The procedure is painless cause u will be totally knocked out ( which is great). the procedure will be done vaganially. I will be starting my first cycle of IVF and i am very excited, nervous and scared at the same time. Good luck to you!!!
I completely understand EXACTLY how you are feeling, I'm on the same boat! My husband and I are preparing for our first cycle of IVF as well. During testing, they found a uterine fibroid and they want to remove it before going on which I totally understand. However, I still haven't heard back from them and it has been a while now. Hang in there!
I was told six months ago that I have polyps. and gave me metformin to get rid of them . the thing is I am not obese I am only 110lbs 5'3" tall. the last test I had was HSG to find out if there's a blockage. turns out that they are able to see if I still have polyps or not. I think he mentioned that I only have one now. and it's not blocking any tube so he just ignored it. I am still taking metformin and I think it's melting them down. I have super painfull periods. I sometimes pass out in pain. one thing I noticed is that i only get super pains if I O'd that month. Also taking clomid and on my second round.
thanks for your imput.yeah, the thing is i'm 31 and never had painful periods, being one of the s/s of polyps.also,i weigh 140lbs 5'6,no signs of obesity.i've done 2 hsg but never did they find any polyps till now.i just hope they're what she said they are,cos from what you guys are saying it's a very easy thing to take out.good luck with your clomid
forgot to tell you. I had a laparascopy and hysteroscopy in Feb of 07. That is when they found the polyups, adhesions and scar tissue and it was very easy for them to remove them! Just wanted to give you a little more hope :)
thanks for raising my hopes.so are you on bc pills?this is my 3rd week on them.i wa given another packet yesterday to continue with.i have a pretty regular cycle,so i don't know why she's putting me on bc pills.once i'm done with the surgery [24th] i'll start with my first ivf cycle.i hope your re gets back to you soon.we might be ivf buddies for april.are you paying for the ivf or your insurance covers? mine covers up to 7k.i'll have to pay the difference;atleast 6k.good luck with your surgery
God I wish I was starting my IVF cycle in April-who knows maybe I will get to! That would be neat to be IVF buddies! How old are you if you don't mind me asking?
No, I'm not on birth control pills yet. I'm hoping I won't have to be on them because like you, my cycles are very regular. How long is she making you take them for?
I did my clomid challenge test plus the HSG and so on. I'm just waiting for my RE to call, and waiting.................... Our insurance covers 80% of all the testing but when we do the actual IVF we are paying for it. That is wonderful your insurance covers that much!
Good luck with your surgery too! Keep in touch :)
For ivf you need to be on b/c in order to suppress ovulation. Without this suppression stage of ivf you can spontaneously release all of the eggs and there will be nothing left for retrieval. I am starting my ivf meds in a few weeks and have been taking b/c for a week and a half.
Good luck to both of you with your surgeries. I wish you both a speedy recovery and a successful ivf!
helen,i'm soo happy you're starting your meds next week.unfortunately we can't be ivf buddies since as you already know i'll be having surgery to remove polypse.i'll be praying for you to have a bfp this cycle.so have you received the meds already?how long did it actually take.well keep us posted on any developments.let us know how well you're coping with injectibles.
jjsh,i'm 3o getting to 31 in sept..how old are you? i hear below 35 you have high chances for success but i doubt it.i think alot of factors contribute to success not only age.yes like helen said, you'll need to be on bc for atleast 3wks.you'll likely start after your surgery.will keep in touch
I got my meds this morning in a huge FedEx box. Diffucult to imagine that I will be injecting so much into myself. My doc submitted my prescription last week so it wasn't a long wait. However, if you are buying your ivf meds from Canada or UK you may have to wait for about 3-5 weeks so you have to order your meds sooner.
Thank you so much for your good wishes!!!
Stay in touch,
Helen
I'm 12 weeks pregnant and started bleeding A LOT. Ob Dr did Sono and exam today found a polyp on my cervix. Everything I'm reading sounds like can't have anything done till after baby is born. Should I be concerned for baby or my health?
