went to they gyno.. no help there

went to my gyno today.. my husband and I have been ttc for a couple years now.. with no luck.. I aksed my gyno what he thought I should try next.. we desperatly want to start a family, but he suggested that I should stay on birth control until I got my weight down.  Considering  I lost over 30 pounds in the last 3 months on a natural suppliment (which he is totally against, but its working, and its ALL Vitamins!)  In October he told me that it would be a good idea to try and get preg. starting me on metformin to help.  Now I just dont know what to think!!  He's making me soo angry, first its one thing, then its another.  All I want is a baby.  Any suggetions??
Thanks, Sarah

don't mean to be nosey but aprox what weight are you now and your age?  I would consider a new Dr for a 2nd opionion  or a RE.  I feel like I am over weight and wonder at times if it causes my hormones to act up.  I am 35 and weight about 165, I should be down to at least 140 or less, but it is so hard!!!
Congrads to you on loosing 30lbs, I sure wish I was able to.  Good Luck!

Have you tried going to a reproductive specialist instead of your ob/gyn?  If you have already been trying for a couple of years, that is the route I would try.  Congrats on 30 lbs and keep up the good work!!
