what would you do

Hi, I am reposting becuase the way I posted the last one was no sucessful sorry.

Here is my problem and I just wondered what you ladies would do stay with the same DR. or look for a new one?

I did my first IVF at a Ivf center in Mi where I live that Ivf failed and I would like to look at other places as I had a ten min. consult with my dr. and after that never seen him again he didn't even do the removal or embryo transfer he had a different dr. do it .  Then when they called to give me the bfn the nurse said I could start my next treatment as soon as A/F came well she came last night.  So I called there today and they said you have to have a consult with the DR. first okay , so then they gave me an appointment for 09/25 how will go around this cycle, truly I feel that that isn't right.  Am i over reacting ????  I mean what do I need another consult for I am already a patient

I think if you're willing to travel then definately do it!!!  I think you could at least do some research on a few and speak to them on the phone and explain your specific situation before you fly to visit w/ them.  Again, i think if it's a caring doctor and staff then they will take the time.  Let us know what you decide.  Things will work out!

Girl, if you are gonna fly........then i recommend mine: in Baltimore, MD......he is THE SH*T! when it comes to IVF and fertility.......his name is Dr. Howard Zacur and he is the director of the fertility medical center at Johns Hopkins.
He IS GOOD!......i had a bunch of things going on, he took care of them like it was nothing and now i am almost 7 weeks pregnant!.....that's his specialty....IVF.....

Google him......really, it's closer and you know, Johns Hopkins is one (if not the...) of the best hospitals in America....

=) Good luck to you!

I don't think your over reacting at all!  You should feel comfortable with your doctor and feel like he/she cares (truly cares!) about you and your results.  This is a Huge part of your life and it should be personal.  I think you should follow your gut.  If your gonna miss this cycle anyway and have some time to do some checking in your area for another doctor i think you should.  Maybe check statistics for clinics in your area thru the Center for Disease Control & Prevention  (http://apps.nccd.cdc.gov/ART2005/clinics05.asp).

Good Luck!!!
