care. He is less agressive than an RE though. So, if you want u/s's and to be monitored you may want to go to someone else. My job isn't very flexible so less monitoring works well for me.
Good luck and welcome to Austin!
I do think I need a more aggressive program as I am turning 40 next year and I am considered to have "matured egg cell" hahaha - or something that sounds like that. I prefer a woman also.
Trying to search other in/fertility forum to ask the doctor recommendations - do you know of others?
i go to Dr. Wendy Cutler at the Austin Diagnostic clinic( which is at 12221 N. Mopac). she specializes in High risk Pregnancies. Her number is 512-901-7763 her appointment line. She is the best. (well i think =) and if she cant help you she would know who could..
good luck...
We used Texas Fertility (Dr Hansard) and really liked them. They are really good about making you feel at home & comfortable asking questions. I was sad
when we got 'promoted' to a regular ob since everything went so good. Dr Vaughn (one of the physicians) was on one of the local news channels recently and is very well known. They also have a class (free) once a month that is super informative. Their statistics were very good when we checked although right this minute I can't recall where we looked but I think it might have been through the Tx center for Disease Control? Anyway, hope this helps and just fyi....we are 18+ weeks w/ twins!!!
Thank you ladies! I actually have an appointment with Dr Hansard on Dec 27 which I got late October - she was the only lady so I guess she has lots of patients. BTW, they just recently added Dr Natalie Burger so patients preferring female
My husband and I have tried for 2 years. My current OBGYN wasn't willing to do anything else for us. She did the basic blood tests, sperm test, and HSG test and said everything looks normal so I'm sure it will happen for you. She actually told me that if I wanted it to happen right away that I would just have to go to the Fertility Clinic.
On a friends recommendation I went to go see Dr. Christopher Seeker. I had to wait 2 months to get in to see him, but within the first 30 minutes on my first visit to him, he did a vaginal
ultrasound and was pretty sure that I had endometriosis. I am now scheduled for my laprascopy tomorrow to remove it and the chances of getting pregnant are greatly increased. They say it should happen in the next 3 to 6 months.
Anyhow, highly recommend him. He is very nice, understanding, and well worth the 2 month wait to see him. Dr. Seeker #512-451-8211. Good luck!
Good luck with your laparoscopy. I had mine done last month and it was definitely the right thing to do. I also recovered pretty quickly within 3-4 days. Now we are trying again since the reason for infertility was finally removed. Best of luck to you!
I have an appointment with Dr. Burger on the 21st. I'm having trouble finding anything about her online and the Texas Fertility Center website hasn't updated with their new partner's information. Has anyone heard anything about her?
I find a Dr. Natalie Burger in Virginia (which is most likely her since she is a recent addition to the Texas Fertility Center group) but all I've found so far in my Google search is that she is a certified doctor and has no repremands on file. I'm not even sure how to research a doctor...
I actually had my first visit with Dr. Burger the day after Christmas and have been to her two more times since (third appt. was today!). I picked up a pamphlet about her since there was no infor about her on their website yet. She's a native of Marietta, GA/undergrad degree in molecular Biology from MIT w/ minor in math/med school at Med College of GA and completed residency in OB/GYN at Univ. of Vermont/fellowship training in Reproductive Endo & Fertility at Univ. of Vermont/board certified in OB/GYN and board eligible in Reproductive Endo & Fertility. My husband and I have found her to be very thorough and knowledgeable. I threw literally 25 or so questions at her today (all typed out on the computer) and she answered every one of them with confidence and detail. My husband was pleased with how she "simplified" the information for him so he could follow along. She is young looking and I'd say she's in her early to mid 30's. I'm having a lap/hyst sometime next month. Let me know if I can be of any more help! Good luck!
