i wondered if anyone can help....
i'm only 23 but desperate to concieve (conceive) bt just suffered my third m/c! the 1st, i lost at 6.5wks, the 2nd at 5wks and 3rd also at 5 wks. the ppl at early pregnancy clinic told me they only start testing after the 3rd m/c so it is a little reassuring to know that now they are going to investigate. after the 1st mc they tested my blood and told me i was rhesus 0 neg, they mentioned anti-bodies forming but haven't offered an anti-d injection. could this have somwthing to do with it? any info would be appreciated!
. I've had two myself and it's just such a difficult thing to go through. I never had any testing after, since I only had two, but it certainly is frustrating not to have any answers. Most early miscarriages
, however, are due to chromosomal issues. Either something didn't divide properly at the time of conception or there is an extra or missing chromosome. Usually the pregnancy will continue for a short time until the embryo
takes place. However, if you have three or more in a row, it could be more than a coincidence, and that's why they usually wait until then to offer any testing. I wish it wasn't like that...but it is what it is, I guess.
, but I'm honestly not sure. Generally, the fact that you're rh- is only an issue in second and subsequent pregnancies, since your body can build up antibodies during your first. From what I've read, a miscarriage can also cause antibodies, but I guess it is rare in natural miscarriage, and a little more of a risk if you had a D&C. But definitely ask your doctor. There might be an easy test he can do to check for these antibodies.
A blood clotting panel might be a good test to get at this point, though. I have Factor V and have to be on blood thinners through my pregnancy, and there are lots of other factors too that can affect your blood and possibly lead to a pregnancy complications.
Good luck with everything, and let me know if you have any other questions.
I heard u have to clean out your system after a miscarriage. try googling LA SRA MULLER. people say it works. it's widely used in the spanish community.
let me know if you can't find it in a store near you. good luck
thanks for your reply. i have an appointment at the early pregnancy clinic tomorrow. when i explained what had happened, the woman on the phone said, "you know, you were only 5 weeks gone, most women would just pass that off as a missed period!" i thought to myself, what difference does that make? the fact is that one day i'm pregnant an the next i'm not! not to mention the fact that this is the third time this has happened so obviously there is something not quite right. i dont want to be a bother to anyone but i'm certainly not just going to "hold off" and wait for it to happen a fourth time.
Does anyone have any ides what kind of tests they may do?
