why have i not started yet?

I am trying to conceive. I have also been taking Metformin. I am late on my period and I am wondering if there is a chance I might be pregnant or can metformin stop your period?

Thanks. Yes I do have PCOS. Thats part of the reason they put me on metformin in the first place. Well i just took a test today and it was negative. not sure if it might just be too early to detect?!? If you could read my last couple comments before this one, i had went into more detail about my situation. thanks a lot.

Hello, metformin doesn't stop your period.  In many women it actually helps trigger ovulation (particularly if you have PCOS).

There is a chance you could be pregnant.  Recommend that you take a pregnancy test to check.

Let us know how you go.
