pregnancy on Aug 5, 2010. The doctors removed her left tube also. She hadn't had her cycle one month later and she was complaining about back pain. I told her to take another HP test (because I felt something wasn't right since she had the surgery) and it came back positive. I took her to the hospital. They did 2 urine
ultrasound and nothing was seen in the uterus. so they didn't know what was going on. they sent her to the doctor a couple of days later to have her hcg levels checked and they were 145 at this point, next 2 days they were 148 so she was given a methotrexate shot about 2 days ago. She is experiencing no symptoms of the shot working. My question is: Will she have any symptoms since she had the surgery first? and is it possible for the surgery to not have removed the pregnancy at all? Could the doctors have left something inside her causing her to keep testing positive? As of this date, she still has no bleeding or sign of her cycle returning. Has anyone experienced having to take the shot even though you had the surgery first?
I didn't have to take anything else after surgery. AF arrived 5 weeks later. I have heard that it can take a while for HCG to reach zero after a miscarriage
