16 miscarragies

I have had 16 miscarragies. I have only got as far as 5 weeks. My husband and I have had so many test. I have used the progestrone, antibiotics. I have 4 children 2 which are twins. When I remarried I had my tubes untied because my husband has no children of his own. He has been Chromosone tested and the test was normal. What I would like to now is if it would be worth my Money and time to do the invitro.

Only you can decide if IVF is worth your time and money of course.  Prior to an IVF cycle, many many tests are usually conducted, and often a genetic counselor is consulted.  During an IVF cycle, heparin, prednisone, aspirin, and progesterone are often used together to reduce the possibility of an immune response to the embryo.
If my patient had had 16 miscarriages, I would be tempted to try IVF!

I heard immune response may be the result of some miscarriage problems. Has your doctor ever tried prednisone during conception and pregnancy.

I agree with sassysissy.  As soon as I read your post I thought of some sort of immune response such as lupus.  I have one friend who also would miscarry and never make it past a certain week and she was diagnosed with lupus.  She has three kids now all from a surrogate.  I have another friend who also went through the same thing and now has one kid but had to be on IgG the whole time which she said was miserable but well worth her dd but she won't do it again.  If you are in the LA area, there is an amazing high risk ob gyn at UCLA I can give you the name to.

Sorry I pushed send before I finished.  But yes, I think it would be beneficial for you to do IVF.  I only have one fallopian tube and PCOS.  I could technically get pregnant but chances are not very high and never happend for me even with IUI's.  Life goes by so quick with ttc and if you can afford to do it you should.  I hear so many women who wish they had just done it because 10 years went by.
