3 day transfer, first time doing ivf

hi everyone,

this is my first time doing ivf, my transfer was a day 3 and it was on wednesday Dec 29th. I have no symptoms at all, sore breasts but i think its because of the P injections.  I just don't feel preggo, but boy do i have a appetite! Oh ya no spotting or bleeding but the day after the transfer i had backache like my period was coming but thats it..help

Hi!
Sorry to chime in so late! I hope by now you have had your quantitative hcg at the doctor's office.  Maybe the CVS test was too early or inaccurate.
Good luck!

Hi there!

I had my transfer on Thursday dec 30 and my beta will be on Monday 10th.
Today is my 6dp3dt and I have no symptoms at all as well.
No spotting, no backache, no sore breasts (maybe just a bit from the meds) and I dont feel pregnant.
Are you doing a hpt? I am thinking of having one a day before my beta.
I wish us both luck!

Hi ladies, lots of people dont have any symptoms at all during 2ww and still get their BFPs so dont panic, it is still way too early for symptoms. Most people would not even know they are pregnant at this point and a lot of the symptoms such as running to the loo more and sickness dont tend to start until much later.
No bleeding is a good sign, hang in there and try to relax for the remainder of your wait. Try to visualise your embies snuggling in. Wishing you both loads of luck and praying you get your BFPs.

E xx

good day, i was just wondering with a ivf, is it 100% or is it a risk factor aswell?

IVF is not 100% otherwise we wouldn't be in this forum. There are higher chances but it's all about luck, a good embryologist and God.

IVF has risk factors since you are under fertility drugs and stuff but pretty much any medication has risk factors, even aspirin, so for most women IVF is a good choice.

Good luck to you!

Hi Ladies,
Well this is my first IVF cycle but I did go thru an unsuccessful IUI cycle Sept/Oct 2010. I jus had two embryos transferred yesterday morning (January 10, 2011)and am on complete bedrest for 5 days starting yesterday. Per my Dr I'm not to even shower, just sponge bath, not sit up at 90degrees and only get out of bed to use the restroom. I am only 29 and we did have 6 eggs retrieved. Three were too immature, and three appeared great. By day one of the retrieval only two were progressing as needed. So the two that were put back were an 8 cell grade A and a 6 cell. I am so nervous to do anything at all. I sneezed and was angry I did so LOL. Is there any advice any1 has? As I'm sure many have experienced the negative test result, I really am hopeful for a positive result this time around; we go back for our test on January 21, 2011. Now as far as the way I have felt, I have had backpain and was very uncomfortable all night, just couldn't seem to get comfortable at all. As far as cramping I have had some here and there but nothing continuous. I just keep rubbing my belly repeating "please attach, please attach" :-) I am getting daily progestrone injections, also use the progestrone suppositorys, taking the baby aspirin, Medrol, Estrace, Folic acid & prenatal vitamins. Oh and I forgot to mention the embryologist also did assisted hatching prior to the transfer.
Does any1 have any experience with a day 3 transfer similar to my situation and with assisted hatching? Is there anything I can do to assist the embryo attachment? Sorry for all the questions and comments & thanks in advance for your advice & information I greatly appreciate it!

@ jennifer sandra.. l really dont see the need for you getting a bed rest for 5 days. what kind of doctor told you to do so? anyway, according to my experience, resting too much after transfer gave me negative results twice,l was afraid of doing anything and didnt even want to stand up much.but with my 3rd trial,l WALKED straight to work and was at work 8 hours without rest. The following days that followed l walked a  lot, back and forth from work and after 14 days, test showed that l was pregnant.the activities helped in better circulation of blood to the uterus.l have a one month old daugher now and hope to do the same when trying for number 2

Hi jennifer-sandra i agree with zarazara with regards resting. I have had 2 embryo transfers both of which have been negative and i rested for several days after both.  I am going to start my third in the next few months and intend to just go about as normal afterwards. Your embryos sound good for day 3 but unfortunately there is nothing any of us can do to help implantation. Wishing you loads of luck for this treatment, i really hope it brings you a bfp.
