Am I pregnant

Hi Dr, i am a 28 year old female. i have a 2 year old daughter.My periods was due on 29th July. I am having regular periods. But we were using birth control measures(Condom) as we were not planning to have another child for the next 2 years. Yesterday i tested using Home Pregnancy Kit, the result turned out to be negative.Is it because i tested too early? On May I used emergency contraceptive pill, so on June my periods came 2 or 3 days earlier. Is it because of that my periods are late this month also? Will a blood test give more accurate result?  I am in tension as I was not ready for a pregnancy. Please give me necessary suggestions.

I'm sure by now you know whether or not you are pregnant.  My suspicion is NO.

Your cycles certainly can be thrown off by Emergency Contraception.  Also, most home tests will become positive by the time of the missed period, and most are fairly accurate.  Blood tests are more accurate usually, and especially in very early pregnancy.
