Any Chance of Fertility after a bilateral epididymectomy

About a year ago, I had a bilateral epididymectomy and have since remarried.  We are wondering if there is any chance of extacting any live and well sperm, for the opportunity of having another child?  Thanks for any information that you can give us.

There definitely is a chance of having another child. Even if both epididymes have been removed, your testilcles continue to produce sperm and sperm could be extracted from your testicles. You would require IVF as the only way to fertilize your partner's eggs with sperm from the testicles would be with a procedure called intracytoplascmic sperm injection (ICSI) where the sperm would be injected directly into an egg in a reproductive IVF laboratory. The likelihood of success in IVF will depend upon the age of your partner.
