Why do I have to be on bc beforee an Ivf ctcle

Hi!
The BC pills are used to down-regulate or put your ovaries into a resting state.  Once they are "quiet" the cycle can be started artificially with the injectable medications.  That way everything is timed precisely and the follicles can be retrieved when mature, but before they are ovulated.
