Blocked Fallopian tubes

Hi Everyone,

I am new to this forum. I felt a bit relaxed after going through this forums. Today I went for hsg test and i came to know both of my tubes are blocked. I am waiting for my next appointment with OB/GYN.  What are the next possible options
for this. we are trying to conceive since a year and i am 28 yrs old and my husband is 33. I know that we are in the right age, but how much is the  possibility i might be pregnant?  we are really trying and please give me any suggestions? Does anybody gone through this phase, Your answers will really help me. Thanks a lot.

Depending upon the findings on your test, your doctor will likely recommend IVF.
In some cases if the tubes are not too badly damaged, they can be repaired surgically.  From all of the data I can find, this is usually the SECOND best option. Doing the surgery puts you at high risk for tubal pregnancy, and it seems to take couples much longer to conceive after surgery than IVF. In some cases, even if you plan to have IVF, the tubes will need to be removed to improve your chances.

IVF seems to be superior to surgery with higher pregnancy rates and has much faster times to pregnancy.

You are at a good age to theoretically get a good response to ovarian stimulation and
maybe even have some embryos left over to freeze for more than one cycle. Usually women with "tubal factor" infertility are excellent candidates for success with IVF.

You will want to discuss your results with a reproductive endocrinologist.  If you DO opt for surgery, pregnancy rates depend upon the surgeon's skill and experience, so you will want to get the very best surgeon around for the best bet.

i have the same problems and i have just finished a course of ivf tratment and i now have to go and have my tubes taking away because my left tube is leaking fluid and its reducing the chances of the embro attaching to the womb. Me and my partner have been trying for over 7 years and i still have had no luck.

Dont worry you will get pregnant soon, Good luck, my doc told me that all the blood work was fine and told me to consult the reproductive endocrinologist which i have appointment on 23 feb, Do you know what are all the options next to be done if the tubes are blocked?
I am not worried that much because i am still 28, I can try other non-surgical options
I heard that there are many therapies and exercises which can improve the condition better.  Also, can you tell me how much does the ivf treatment costs approximately.

I had my HSG sone in Aug 09 they said I had blocked tubes, I went to the Radiant Wonder web site and ordered the herbs to unblock tubes and did the abdominal massage the send you also and afte 21/2 months(sept,oct, some Nov.) Of using the products I had my BFP in Jan!! Don't give up hope try natural ways first give it a chance and if it dosent work then IVF. And remember the HSG is known to show blocked tubes even when the tubes just spasm
