CLOMIPHENE HELP

Hi, i am 40yrs and am pretty sure i still ovulate each month (due to charting) but having trouble falling preg. Fertility specialist gave me prescription for clomiphene (Serophene). Said "give it a shot, you never know" but was not overly optimistic. Dose rate was 2 tabs/day, which at 50mg/tab = 100mg/day total from cycle day 3-7. here is what I have experienced on taking the tablets at 6am:
1. Dose 1 (27th Nov) and was ok, just felt a little teary/dizzy.
2. Dose 2 (28th Nov) felt terrible in the morning. Very anxious, thumping heart, maybe a panic attack. hot flushing, dizzy or a type of vertigo feeling, just awful and made me feel weird. extreme feelings passed and I was ok during middle of day, just tired and a little light headed. Last night, however, just before bed I got the awful flushing feeling, anxiety, dizzy, actually similar to the morning epidsode.
3. Dose 3 have not taken it yet. it is now 10am our time and I was supposed to take it at 6am.

am I too late to take it now? i am scared to take it just in case I feel even worse than yesterday (i feel fine now). were those feelings normal or am I having a bad reaction? have i ruined my ovulation for this cycle since I have taken 2 doses and stopped does that mean I will ovulate early because I stopped taking it early? i generally ovulate day 12 to 14 on my own. I am so confused and cannot call dr becasue it is Sunday.

please advise.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
HI!
Clomid is an anti-estrogen drug.  It fools your body into thinking that it is not producing enough estrogen and your body responds by producing more.  Because Clomid blocks the effects of estrogen, it causes symptoms such as head aches, mood swings and hot blushes.  It can also cause migraines.  Your reaction sounds relatively normal.  If you discontinue the clomid, you will probably still ovulate, since you normally do any way.
Usually when doctors treat an ovulatory patient with clomid, they are trying to hyperstimulate their ovaries--in other words they are trying to get their ovaries to produce more than one egg per cycle, and to increase the chances of pregnancy that way.
It will also increase the risk of a multiple birth somewhat.
I hope this is helpful!
Good luck!

I just turned 39 last month,  i have 2 kids from a previous marriage. Recently started to conceive with my new husband after 7 cycles i got pregnant naturally however, miscarried at 12wks 2days 7 months ago. This cycle is my 7 th cyle TTC. Went to a RE did a of hormonal tests all came normal E2,LH,TSH,ETC but my FSH was high 36 i was shocked bc i was tested at 6 almost  2 yrs ago..

the doctor said that i have better chance getting pregnant naturally on mt own rather than using IUI or IVF she refused to give me any little push so my ovaries can produce more follicle.. i do nto want to use donar egg i know some of my eggs r good otherwise how did it fertilize and got me preg?

would clomid help me if my FSH is high? would it stimulate my ovaries? i ovulate every month, i bbt and i can c the peak everymont..
i do nto wnt ot give up yet, i am looking for a high fertiliy doctore ..

thank u for your help
