Clomid

Hey,

I just bought some clomid.
I have been TTC for 7months.

I know I am not Ovulating. I use monitor,Chart,OPKs & Slivia scope.
I either get peaks days apart or none at all. Its like my body gets ready and then dont release eggs.

Does anyone else use clomid?
What should I be worried about while  using it?

I hope you are being managed by an obgyn or a reproductive endocrinologist while taking clomid. Although not common, there are potential side effects such as ovarian cysts. Equally important, a thorough knowledge of the reproductive system, and the menstrual cycle, is a pre-requisite to managing a clomid cycle. Are your periods regular? If they are, you are probably ovulating even though your monitoring is not indicating this consistently. Clomid has some antifertility effects also (thin uterine lining, thick more hostile cervical mucous) so it should only be taken if required - i.e. truly not ovulating.

You should be monitored my ultrasound also, you may need an injection of HCG to promote the actual release of the follicle

I am starting my first round of Clomid tomorrow.  I am really nervous!!!  My husband and I have been ttc for 18 months now and finally found a doc that is willing to be agressive and help us figure out what's up!  We found out that I have a very low progesterone level and that only 5% of his guys were moving rapidly...UGH!!!!  I keep having dreams that I will end up with 6 kids on the first round of Clomid...that makes me even more nervous!
I am pre diabetic so I think that is what's affecting my ovulation, but am not sure.  Anyone know anything on this topic????  Good luck to all!
