Endometriosis & IVF

I am 31 years old and have been TTC for the last 18 months.  I was diagnosed with tubal blockage a year ago and so my doc recommended a laproscopy in Aug 2006.

At the time of this surgery the doc did not mention endo.  However, earlier this year after few months of failed TTC efforts naturally when i went back she mentioned endo and asked me to go in for another lap.

At this point i went to another doctor for a second opinion and he said that though he could see endo on bopth ovaries, he thought going for an IVF may solve my problem.

However, my fresh cycle failed and this time in FET, i have replaced 6 embryos but am now wondering whether if this cycle fails, is laproscopy my best bet?

Some details, the doc was able to retrieve 12 eggs and 9 of those fertilised.  But he did mention that although the size was 1.5 cms and 2.5 cms respectively they looked like stage 3 or 4 endo cysts.

Thanks for your advise

My tendency if endometriomas ( endometriosis cyst on the ovaries) are present is to take them out, not to drain them or precede with IVF. The literature is conficting is this area and I think you will get different opinions on second, third and fourth opinions. The remainder of your cyle sounds good ( 12 oocytes, 9 fertilized). Placing 6 back at 31 is interesting, particularly if they were good quality, you may not have to go any further.
HOPE THIS HELPS
