Fetal Heart Rate at 6W0D

Fetal Heart Rate at 6W0D

I recently did an IVF/AH cycle with a transfer of two embryos.  My pregnancy test was positive and HCG more than doubled.  I had my first U/S at 6w0d and there were two sacs with heartbeats.  One was 111 and the other was 100 (although the tech said it was 103 but the report said 100).  They both measured exactly as they should.  Is the 100 heart rate low or appropriate for gestational age.  I don't get to speak with a RE at this appt and the nurse gave no info other than they like it to be above 100 but they don't expect to see it at that time.

I'm just nervous as I've had 4 previous pregnancy losses and an ectopic.  I was recently diagnosed with Factor V Leiden.  I am taking progesterone suppositories 200mg, lovenox 40mg, baby aspirin, metformin (for PCOS), and vitamins.

Thanks for any info that you can give me.

Dear Janice 7 -

Here are the stats for heart rate and healthy pregnancy:

1) At less than 6 weeks, 2 days, more than 90% of pregancies with a heart rate of 100 or greater survive. If the heart rate is less than 100, a little over 60% survive.

2) At greater than 6 weeks, 2 days, the cutoff becomes 120 beats per minute.

Thus, at 6w0d both of your babies have reassuring heart rates.

Here's hoping for a better outcome for you this time!

I have a similiar question.  My first cycle of IVF, at 6 weeks 5 days, My 1st u/s shows a sac, a yolk, a fetal pole, and a heartbeat of 84 bpm.  My doctor is concerned and may want me to take medicine to abort the fetus.  I am scheduled for a 2cd u/s next week.  Is there no chance of this being a healthy pregnancy?
