Follow-up information to the question re: slowly rising HCG levels

Sorry, I forgot to mention this in my earlier question:

1. My LMP was March 28th
2. About 10 days post IUI, I've been feeling very tired (especially in the evenings) and need to urinate frequently
3. I've also had mild cramping on and off, not on the sides, but in the center
4. I've been on 200mg progesterone suppositories since the day post IUI (Apr 12th) and my progesterone level is currently 23

The nurse at the RE's office says that this might be a chemical pregnancy and will likely not stick...but why are the levels still rising? I'm so confused. She asked me to continue the suppositories until Monday morning, when I will have my 4th HCG beta test. At what levels would that test mean that I am pregnant or not? Thank you so much.

I cannot answer this question without knowing what your beta-HCG values are, and the exact dates they were done. Sorry!

I think you're pregnant. Your progesterone level is appropriate. However, the beta levels should be doubling every 48-72 hours, I believe.

The crampy/stretching type feeling is normal in pregnancy. I had lots of that with this last pregnancy. I was told that this pregnancy was a blighted ovum, as per the 6 week ultrasound results and HCG levels.

Good luck!
