For how long should I take Gonal F?

Hi,
Today I am on day 16 on Gonal F. I started off with 75 then 112.5 then 225.  I've been on 225 for the last three days and I just had my ultrasound today and I'm showing nothing developing.  I have PCOS.  This is my first time with injections for IUI.  The doctor had just mention that he wants to get me ovulating.  So does anyone know how or when should I stop this cycle?  Do I wait for the doctors to tell me?  Do I keeping injecting myself until something happens (eggs develop)?  I'm stressed because it feels like they don't really know what to do with me as I am not responding.  What's the next step?

It is always stressful when the response to stimulation is poor.  Definitely continue to use your meds as instructed by your doctors.  They will decide when to cancel the cycle.  Usually if one protocol doesn't work, they may have another protocol to try for the next cycle.  Sometimes unusual protocols are necessary or seeking out a specialist in PCOS may be necessary.  

One thing to keep on the back burner for now, is egg donation.  You can have a wonderful baby (or two) within 10-11 months with this method in many cases.  Just don't rule it out!
