You are right any type of heat has adverse effects on sperm production, it takes roughly 3 months(or 90 days) for your body to make new sperm, the effects of heat are not permanent, so just be careful from now on.
wait for min 90 days and go for sperm test to be sure and sleep well. But you are overreacting.
It is not laptop has adverse affects only, but working on sitting condition for long period or driving trucks for hours, all causing exessive heating.
