Freakin out about my laptop!!!

by TheAnxiousPerson, Sep 04, 2007 12:00AM
I'm a 20 year old male that has been using a laptop roughly 3 years. Every now and again I've rested my laptop on my lap when I use it, hence the name "laptop". One problem: NOBODY EVER WARNED ME ABOUT INFERTILITY CAUSED BY THE HEAT. So yesterday, my balls felt a little sore after using the it, so I looked up the information myself, and whatdya know, laptop heat causes male infertility. For the rest of the night I put an ice pack next to my johnson. I'm freaking out about how it maybe caused irreversible damage, along with THE RADIATION FROM MY CELL PHONE. Please help...

You are probably over reacting. If you are curious, the best thing to do is have a sperm count done.

You're so funny!   What a joker! I highly doubt a 20YO male is worried about his fertility.   You must be bored as hell.

You are right any type of heat has adverse effects on sperm production, it takes roughly 3 months(or 90 days) for your body to make new sperm,  the effects of heat are not permanent, so just be careful from now on.

do not ever use laptop on your laps again.

wait for min 90 days and go for sperm test to be sure and sleep well. But you are overreacting.

It is not laptop has adverse affects only, but working on sitting condition for long period or driving trucks for hours, all causing exessive heating.
