Hi!
It is pretty rare ( not impossible ) to get pregnant after 43 with your own eggs.  Everyone has heard of someone who did (they are lucky!), but more often I hear of people who don't.  As long as you are ovulating, there is hope. If you really want a baby badly enough, consider donor eggs.  If you are healthy, there is no reason not to get pregnant, and its MUCH easier to do with young eggs.  Once you feel the baby kick you will forget about whose DNA is whose!  Alternatively, why not adopt while you are still trying for your own, and get your hands on a baby sooner!
I wish you all the best!

Hello I am sure if you are healthy enough and still ovulating then the chances are good. But remember as you get older you don't ovulate every month.

I am in the same situation as you but the other way round.
I am nearly 40 and my darling hubby is 42 he has two grown up girls from a previous marriage and myself I have a 9 year old son from a previous relationship.

I am wanting a child with my mr right too.
I am ovulating myself but my chances are slim because of my hubby's sperm situation it is low.
I started to take clomid to boost my chances of ovulating more than one and see if my hubby sperm can fertilize them but no luck so far it's my first month.

If you are ovulating then and your doctor says you are then go for it.
If your hubby's sperm is good then the chances are brilliant.

Good luck in your quest.

My DH is going to be 35, he has A 7yo and I don't have any. We haven't tested him yet but docs found a large fibroid in me that had to be surgically removed. The fertility doc said it would be slim to none chances of invetro working and he didn't want to take our money and give us false hope. I am still recovering from surgery. we don't know how many eggs I have left but I was ovulating regularly until the last few months with the fibroid. The surgical sic said the fibroid was probably causing the fertility problem. Chances are still low to get and keep a pregnancy, but we're praying and I'm reading up on understanding my ovulation cycle, purchased ovulation kits etc as I have perimenapausal symptoms for past few years.
I wish us all the best. and if not, we have finally found the great husband we have been waiting for.
