HCG INJECTION AND NEGATIVE PREGNANCY TEST

HI,
I hv pcos. I am on my first round of clomid. On CD 12 got two follies of 17 mm and 15 mm. thn on CD 14 took HCG 5000 shot. Two Days later just took the home pregnancy test, just for the sake of , it wont hurt seeing a false positive .. but it came out Negative.
Should i increase the dose of HCG 5000 to 10000. have no idea... what can be the reason of -ve HPT.

Hi!
The standard dosage of HCG is 5000 to 10000 IU.  We don't typically test for pregnancy until 10-14 days after the injection is given.  I am not aware of any protocols that recommend a urine hcg test at midcycle, therefore am not sure how to interpret the  negative test in your case. Perhaps you will have a true positive test in which case you won't have to make the decision!
