HSG all clear whats next??

Hi i have had a HSG test done last week(on the NHS/PCT) and the radiographer said the test was all clear and showed me the results on the screen, this was done on the 18th Feb.I was wondering if anyone knows what happens next,do i get results confirmed from the hospital?Do i have to make another appointment?Does this procedure increase fertility??I am at a loss as i dont no what to do next!!The initial appointment with the consultant was a bit disappointing, I am over weight/getting too old (39) not much chance of getting caught??I have lost 3 stone before i went to see him as i new it would be an "issue" ,i am doing the best i can but feeling really low as i feel i am getting no where fast and my clock is ticking etc.We have been trying for 3yrs been going thru local GP was referred in Aug 09 to local hospital but there was a bit of an issue about funding which has been sorted out.Is it always this long winded or am i being Impatient!!??Any feedback would be much appreciated!!

hey i am sorry abt u being overweight and all but 3 yrs is a long time anybody would get impatient. But dont worry these days there is so much assistance even for overweight person. Btw abt hsg before the test did u hv an appointment and did u guys discuss how to go about with everything? if not then u need to make an appt and discuss a plan with ur RE. Since ur tubes r fine he might suggest IUI since u hv been trying naturally for 3 yrs already. gud luck...

Hi thanks for your post,we both went to see the Dr and he asked how far i wanted to go with it,i said as far as possible,he then explained that the chance of getting pregnant was still quite low and that he would send me for a HSG but that i need to lose at least another 3 stone to help the situation that was about it! Well i am not going to give up will give it a couple of months then get in touch with my GP see if he can give me any more info in the mean time we r going keep trying!!

Do you have a reputable Fertility clinic you can make an appointment with?  You may want to contact one and discuss your options.  Your GP may not be able to give you the right direction.  My husband have been ttc over 7 yrs we used our obgyn for the first couple, and have been seing a AF for over a year.... do not procrastinate if you are in a hurry, as things do not often move quickly.  Hope this helps!
BTW after I had my HSG, my Doc told me I would be "more fertile" for he next 3 months.  It didn't help us.... but by golly it might help you!!!!

I'm also wondering about what will be the next step after HSG.  I had my HSG yesterday and all the doctor said was since my tubes and uterus were clear and all my blood test and my hubby's test were good that we can try naturally for another 3 months and if we still haven't concieved then to call and make an appt with him.  

What will he do at the point? Does anyone know?
