Have norplant for 10 yrs, had 5 tooken out, can i get pregnant?

Hi, I had my norplant 6 weeks after giving birth. After 7yrs i got 5 rods remove, I still have 1 rod.  Since the removal of the 5rods I have had a regular cycle that last 4days a month. Can i get pregnant?

Hi!
Yes.  The medication in the rods dissolves after 5 years.  So despite the fact that you still have a rod in place, it is a "blank" and shouldn't affect your fertility at this point.
Those guys are BEARS to get out!  If you want the last rod removed, you could ask your provider to try using ultrasound to find it.  Or you could just leave it and forget about it.
