I have a period 5 days after transfer of embryo

On Sunday 11-29-09 I had (1) blastocyst embryo transferred at the clinic. On Sunday 12-6-09 I experience some spotting with a brownish and pinkish which is 7 days after the transferred of an embryo. Later that evening the spotting came back and it turn bright red. I had called the doctor and she would like to see me the next morning. That Monday morning I went for my blood work, later that afternoon I got the result. She said that my pregestrone level is low and that i am not pregnant. Also, she said I having my period and that pregnancy test is no longer needed.
It's been  3 day of the heavy bleeding and I'm still experiencing cramping and lower back pain. I need more explanation to why this happen? This is a male factor of unbalanced chromosome and in the past I never have trouble getting pregnant. I just can't carry the baby longer than 3 months and the pregnancy fails. I had 6 miscarriages in past 6 years before I went to the fatality clinic. Please help me because I really want this baby!!!!
Will I ever be pregnant in this life time???

Yes, our clinic did the PGD and one embryo was transferred but I don't know the grade of the embryo. Out of six embryo only three embryo make it and out of that three only one of the embryo is balanced. But just can't understand why I am not pregnant. It failed three times already. First time did not make to retrieval because egg was not big enough so we stopped that cycle. Second time had egg retrieval but did not make it transfer because there was nothing to transfer. Third time I make it through transfer with one embryo after PGD was preformed. But five days after embryo transfer i have my period. It was transferred on day five of blastocyst embryo.

We will be meeting with the doctor on January 6, 2009 at 10:00 with the new plan. I hope all is well and that this new plan will help us.

HI!
I'm sorry you feel so discouraged!  I'm also sorry that you lost your pregnancy!
Does your clinic offer PGD?  pre-implantation genetic diagnosis?  If so, you might want to consider that!  Typically an embryo that survives to the blastocyst stage has a pretty good chance of continuing, but in your case, it could certainly be that the embryo was not genetically normal.
Also, it seems like ICSI would be a good option too--I don't know what your doctors have told you.
Only about 20-25% of pregnancies continue and become live births.  In your case, with the male factor, that number is reduced.  It IS however, a numbers game, so if you keep playing long enough, you will succeed.
In the meantime, if your clinic offers counseling ( many do!) take them up on their offer!

Good luck!
