Hi!
Unfortunately, for those of us who are just beginning to feel mature enough to settle down by that age, it is pretty common.  There are also other "unfair" issues, such as increased miscarriage rate if one does conceive, and increased rate of birth defects in live born children.  Men do not start having these sorts of issues until 55.
Remember, diminished ovarian reserve is a predictor of success with IVF, it does not necessarily mean that a person can't or won't conceive.  It would suggest though, that one maybe should not spend one'e entire life savings on IVF, and that egg donation may be the most pragmatic option for achieving pregnancy.

Hope this helps!
