Jetlagged surgeon

I am having surgery for endometriosis tomorrow. I just found out that the Dr. who has been on vacation in the middle east, came in today to Southern New England where I am having my surgery. Is it unreasonable for me to feel nervous about the doctor being to jetlagged to perform the surgery safely?

I am probably too late in answering this question to help you much.  I understand your concern though.  I certainly hope your doctor is responsible enough to be able to determine whether he can safely operate so soon after a long trip.  Doctors are accustomed to crazy schedules and lack of sleep, so it isn't perhaps as hard for us to function under those circumstances as other professionals with more normal schedules.
If you are going to be too nervous, you can certainly reschedule your procedure--do what is going to make you feel most comfortable!
