Missed period

I came off the contraceptive pill (trying to conceive) beginning of July 2006 and had a normal period in August, but was late in September. I never carried out a pregnancy test as I was unsure as to what my cycle was. At first I saw a watery pinkish coloured blood then I started to bleed properly and continued to bleed for 4 weeks. I went to see the GP, who referred me to a gynaecologist. After many trips to the GP & the Hospital and many blood tests later (still bleeding)it was eventually found, in mid November that I had a polyp in my womb which may have caused a miscarriage and the reason for the continuous bleeding was due to me 'Lacking in the Von Williebrand Factor' a clotting deficiency. I had an op to remove the polyp in January 2007 and have had regular periods since. I worked out that my period starts every 21 to 23 days. However, I am now at day 36 and still have not had a period, I have had slight cramps, and have been seeing a clear mucus type discharge, I have also had all the symptoms of being due on a period, i.e. mood swings, hunger pangs, tiredness, etc. I have taken 2 pregnancy tests and both have been negative so I am wondering if there is anything I should worry about, could I be pregnant but it isn't showing with a home pregnancy kit due to my low levels of progesterone or is this quite normal, and if you do miss a period is it normal to see a clear mucus type discharge?

First everybody can miss a period, not to panic. I would do a pregnancy home test. If it were negative, I would make a Gyn appt. I usual don't let my pts go more than 2 months without having a period if they are not on a treatment to take their periods away. The Von Willebrand's is reason to be followed. I would want to control your bleeding for this reason and BE REGULAR.
Usually an increase in a clear discharge is a good sign of ovulation, Could these be your symptoms?

the clear discharge you mentioned should be ovulation. If you are ttc that would be the best time to be intimate.
