Nervous wreck, need info doctors regarding fallopian tubes....

Hello '

I am pursuing a TR this year and have been told I am a good candidate. But the problem is I am still not comforted by that..is that silly? Well, I see on my pathology report papers from the TL that their was a small portion .5 removed from each tube and it says it was from the "middle third".

O.K. thats where the anxiety lays with me " middle third". I have no idea what that means. I am so sick and nervous that "middle third" is a bad thing despite a little was removed. I am thinking that because of course I am not a doctor, so to me it sounds bad when I hear stories of TL being in the "middle" of the tube. I can't sleep nor think straight over this. I have small blessings at home that need all my attention right now. So I am really trying to make piece with this until surgery. My biggest fear is getting cut open and being told it cant be done :(  Please if any doctor is able to take the time out and read this and response,Thank You,Thank You, Thank You. I don't know another way to ease my mind through this and I am just blessed to have found this forum to ask a professional. Thanks Again for any info and your time.

more info:  TL: cut and sutured.

Hi!
Did your doctor give you the option of starting with a laparoscopy? Often, they will do a scope first with a tiny camera to look and see if the tubes are OK--and then if not, no need for a Big incision.

Also, the middle third is the BEST place for the tubes to have been cut--what you want when you put them back together, you want two pieces that are approximately the same size--not one big one and one small one (if you can imagine splicing a hose).

The middle third is thin and symmetrical and the best place to re-connect.

The best part about the tubal reversal is that you can have as many kids as you want if it works.  If it doesn't, don''t forget about IVF.

Good luck!
