Ovarian Drilling for POF

I am 26 and was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure in 2008. At my diagnosis, my FSH was 52. Since then it has measured as low as 21. I am a 46 XX with no genetic abnormalities, no autoimmunity, no thyroid problems, or any other co-morbidities. I am very healthy with a BMI under 22. I am currently on topical bio-identical hormones (progesterone, estrogen, and testosterone) to treat my menopausal symptoms (primarily irregular menstruation, break-through bleeding, short periods, mood swings, and some sexual symptoms).

What I want to know is whether ovarian drilling can be used to stimulate my ovaries. I don't want to use donor eggs in order to conceive and am desperate for ANYTHING that might rescue my oocytes.

Unfortunately, ovarian drilling is not helpful for your diagnosis--it is better used for women with PCOS.  Egg donation is your best option.  There are some spontaneous pregnancies in women with POF.  Accupuncture might help to improve the blood flow to the ovaries--it woudn't hurt.
If you were my patient, I would be slowly working to convince you to try egg donation--you are the ideal candidate for it!  Why let a little DNA stand between you and motherhood?
