Preparation for hysteroscopic septum resection

MD prescribed Provera 30 mg daily for 2 months before hysteroscopic septum resection. I understand that it will atrophy the uterine lining for the procedure. Does the research shows increased benefits of such preoperative preparation? Is it appropriate med, dose, and length?

Hi!
The most important reason to take the medication is so that the doctor can see what he/she is doing while operating.  If the endometrium is thick, it can impair visibility and make the surgery more difficult. The medication dose is reasonable.  It is an inexpensive option, which is good.
Good luck!
