Question about day 3 levels. Please help!!!

Hi all! I am a 25 year old army wife and my husband and I have been trying to actively conceive for 3 years now. I took the clomid challenge test in January '09. My results on day 3 were FSH 9.8 LH 4.8 and ESTRADIOL 33.0
My day 10 results were FSH 10.4 LH 13.5 and ESTRADIOL 196.5
I took another day 3 levels in July '09 and my results were FSH 9.1 LH 6.1 and ESTRADIOL 34.2
Hubby and I are getting ready to start our very first IVF cycle and I am concerned these levels are abnormal.

Anyone know if these levels are normal or not? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks and baby dust to all!!

Hi!
Your levels look OK.  I'm a little surprised that your FSH is as high as it is at your young age, but most IVF centers are looking for numbers of less than 10 as predictive of a reasonable response to fertility medications.  The Estradiol level they are looking for is less than 65, so you are definitely OK there.
Remember that these numbers don't predict whether or not you will conceive, they just give the doctors an idea of how aggressive they need to be when they calculate the doses of the medications.  In your case, I suspect they will want to be a little more aggressive than average.  The good news is, your egg quality should be pretty good, so even if you don't get tons of eggs, the ones you do get will have a high chance of being normal.
Its lucky that you are ready for your family now.  If you were my patient, I wouldn't recommend waiting any longer!
Good luck!
Dr B
