Reoccuring long menstration cycles

I wasn't sure where to post this since Gynecology was closed. I really need help so please forgive me if this isn't the best place. I'm under 30, a virgin & since last year, have problems with my cycle. Last year, when my period started, I went thru stress & my period lasted 3 weeks. It was a moderate flow, but I went to ER since I had no insurance & no OBGYN/doc would see me. 1st time in ER, they checked my vagina, said I was fine & gave me Medroxypr AC 10 mg. It didn't work. I went back a week later, had an ultrasound of my ovaries (they're fine) & was given generic of Lo/Ovral -28 tab which I took 3 for 3 days, 2 for 2 days then 1 until my period stopped. It worked, but my period was odd. I'd have a lite period for few days, sometimes not at all. 3 mths ago, I'd start spotting a few days, then have a period for 7-9 days. I'd no other symptoms & the time between periods could be up to 6 wks. I rarely get cramps, I get strong sex drive few days before/after my period. I get mood swings 2 wks before/after my period & 3 days before. On 6/10 I started spotting, my period started 6/12. On the 15th I had the heaviest flow ever: I soaked a heavy pad in 1 hr. Over 24 hours, my period was unusually heavy then went back to the mod/heavy flow I'm used to. I want to add during this, I was going thru stress at work, but the stress has eased off since. Your irregular periods, and heavy periods, suggest to me that you are most likely not ovulating regularly. Less likely, you may have a fibroid or polyp or other abnormality causing the episodes of prolonged bleeding. One concern for women who are not ovulating regularly is that they are at higher risk of getting cancer of the endometrium years down the road. Fortunately, irregular bleeding and heavy bleeding are easy to treat. You need to see a gynecologist and they will be able to get you back on track. Good luck!

I was going to get married soon (tho we ended up putting it off for other reasons) so I went to my doc on the 19th & he gave me Ortho Evra patches. He brushed it off when I tried to explain I was having "period" problems & said periods were "good for you" when I said I wanted the shot that makes you not have a period for a year. He then made an appt for me to see the female OBGYN there on July 17th. I been wearing the patches for week & a half & they didn't stop my period, tho it the flow got less heavy, but it still enough I was going thru 2 pads a day. By now, I'd been on period for over 2 wks w/ moderate flow. Finally, frustrated I took a Lo/Ovral pill the night I had left over from last year 2 days ago. It stopped my period & by last night, but I felt off since then. Kept feeling slightly nauseated & needed OJ the past two mornings. Also, yesterday morning & this morning, I feel mild cramps & yesterday felt like I had lower back pain for a bit. I got up this morning & my period was slowly returning! I'm wondering if I have low hormones. I have a strong sex drive before/after period. I have an appt to see a female OBGYN on July 17th for more birth control & I'd LOVE to get my hands on that shot, I think called Seasonque, that makes you not have a period for a year. Also, don't know if this will help, but I've a hairy upper lip (I've taken to shaving it cuz ppl joke I've a "mustache"), I'm a tomboy (wearing dresses/dressing up doens't appeal to me, tho I'll do it) & I'm big chested. I'm NOT Lesbian. I LOVE my guy. I've got slightly hairy arms. When I masterbate, lately I can't get wet enough or stay wet real long though I've a strong drive and can reach an orgasm relatively quickly. I've not taken another Lo/Ovral pill cuz I fear it'll make me sick, but I'm about to cry as I type this. I HATE my period at this point, I want it to stop or at least be normal cuz I'ma marry soon. Please help me!
