Well to sum it all up. My husband and I have been having unprotected sex since May of last year (2012). Pretty much ever since then my menstrual cycle has been so screwed up. About March of last year (2012) was my last normal period. They were about 35-37 days apart. Well ever since then they have been like 60 days, 75 days, 90 days, 65 days and so on. I know something is wrong. I guess I have answered my own question in that I should see a doctor. But I do not have insurance and neither does my husband. What could this be? I just thought it a coincedence since it all started ever since we got married. We wanted to start trying right when we got married. Could this be stress? Thanks for any replies!
If you were my patient, I would begin an infertility work up for you at this point. A good place to start is with some baseline hormone levels such as TSH, FSH and prolactin. If all of those values were normal, I would probably begin treatment with a medication such as Clomid to help you ovulate more regularly. You may conceive on your own without help, but it may take quite awhile. Using Clomid (which is pretty inexpensive) or other medications can help you speed up the process. Don't wait too long!
