Sperm count

The doctor has said before I am put on clomid he needs a sperm count on my husband. My husband is not wanting to be embarrassed going into a place knowing that the nurses/workers will know what he is doing. How does this work when a sperm count is needed? Can it be done at home and taken in? Can I help him? Does it have to be done in an office? Please help so I can ease my husbands mind. Ty in advance!

Hi!
Your husband is certainly NOT the first man to have this worry!  Yes, you can help him obtain the sample.  You can even take it to the lab for him.  You can get your lab's instructions from them, but usually a sample should be kept warm (body temp) if possible, and must be taken to the lab within 30 minutes.  For men who prefer to obtain the sample at the lab, there is usually an area where complete privacy can be assured.
Lots and lots of men have done this!
Good luck!
