Test Results

I had a semen analysis done.  Results are as follows:
Vol-3.2, Appearance and Viscosity are Normal
pH-7.9, now the tricky... Motility is 85,
Quality of Motion is 80% Rapid Progressive,
5% Sluggish, and 15% Immotile.
Here is what I dont understand, my Concentration is 160.0 x10E6/ml which is HIGH, and my Total Motile is 435.2 x10E6 also HIGH...SO what does these two mean by being high?
Last Normal Morphology is 56% (WHO Criteria, 1992, 3rd)

I understand 90 percent of the report, however my wife and I have been trying for over a year, and both been checked out.  Does these two HIGH's or the Morphology %, pH, or volume amount have an impact on the situation?  My email is cyphersmd at yahoo.

Hi!
First, here is a site with some good information about semen analysis:
http://www.ivf-infertility.com/infertility/investigations/male/semen.php

Second, your results look good to me!
It sounds like you two qualify for the diagnosis of "unexplained infertility" which is the most confusing kind!  The GOOD news is that in most cases the thing that is needed is more time and more trying.

You two are at the point where you ought to give some consideration to consulting with at reproductive endocrinologist to see if any of the Artificial Reproductive technologies might be of benefit.

Good luck!
