Too small follicles why??

Hi there my question is that I have done two failed IUI attempts in '09 and I am now on my first IVF attempt, down reg'd fine, moved onto FSH stim drugs (300) then on day 8 of stims discovered my follicles are not really growing, they are only 4 and 5mm each, so am now upto450 but am no holding out any hope at all. Any ideas why i wouldnt be responding to the menopur drug when last year I overstimulated on the IUI cycle (which had to be cancelled)?? I dont get it

Hi!
Usually poor response is due to a poor ovarian reserve.  I'm sure that they would have tested you for that prior to your cycle (?)  OR perhaps a variant of PCOS.  I would definitely suggest discussing your response with your RE!
Ever consider donor eggs?
