What to do to get me to Ovulate??

I am on my 5th month with clomid (started 2 mo. 50mg, 100 mg for 2 mo. and will go 1 more mo. with 150.) and am going for my cd 21 bloodwork on the 19th. I track with OPKs at home though, and according to them, I haven't Oed. My question is "What do you think that the next thing that we try should be?" I am wanting to talk to my doctor about taking another approach at getting me to O. I will never be able to get pregnant if I don't ovulate. TTC since May, and found out then that I wasn't Oing, and completly stopped getting period in July. Thanks in advance for any help!

You need to ovulate to get pregnant. If you have been having periods on clomid, not requiring provera or another type of progesterone to bring them on, then I believe you have been ovulating on clomid. My rule of thumb is to consider moving on to injection fertility drug treatment if you are not yet pregnant after 4-6 OVULATORY cycles on clomid, or if you have not been able to ovulate at a maximum clomid dose of 200mg - 250mg a day. Also, if clomid by itself is not resulting in ovulation, some women can be made more sensitive to clomid by taking glucophage or metformin, so this can sometimes be tried before moving on the fertility drug injections. Ask your Dr. about PCOS - if it is what you have - then clomid wont work alone - you might need metamorfin to offset your af.

HI I WAS ON CLOMID TOO FOR COUPLE MONTHS EVERY YEAR SINCE 2003 AND IT DIDN'T HELP ME OVULATE AT ALL. SO I DECIDED TO GO TO AN INFERTILITY SPECIALIST, AND WE DID TOOK ANOTHER APPROACH. HE GAVE ME SHOTS(PUREGON)  FOR 5 DAYS TO HELP ME OVULATE AND THEY DID WORK! I ACTUALLY PRODUCED ONE HEALTHY EGG THAT HE HELPED ME RELEASE WITH ANOTHER SHOT (PREGNYL) AND GAVE ME THE EXACT DAYS TO TTC.  I DON'T KNOW IF I'LL CONCIEVE (conceive) THIS MONTH (BECAUSE I'VE BEEN BLEEDING SINCE YESTERDAY- 10 DAYS BEFORE MY PERIOD SO WE'RE HOPING IS IMPLANTATION BLEEDING) BUT FINALLY SOMETHING MADE ME OVULATE! I KNOW FEEL MORE CONFIDENT KNOWING THAT WE ARE ON THE RIGHT TRACK (HOPEFULLY!) CONSULT YOUR FERTILITY DR.
