What's that mean and can we have a baby by ourselves

Hi, my question is regarding a fertility test that I've done in late february. I've done a spermogram 48 hours after the last intercourse with my wife.

So heres the results.

---------------------------------------

3.5ml
ph 8.0
Apearance : yellowish
liquefaction : none
Count : 104 x 10^9 / L
Mobility : Time 0.5
    Grade A : Fast progression : 0%
    Grade B : Slow progression : 57%
    Grade C : Agitation without progression : 8%
    Grade D : Motionless : 35%

Agglutination : mild
Component: Leucocytes occasional
Survival : 59%
Microscopic morphology : 20% abnormals, 80 % normals

Conclusion : The volume, mobility and count are normal (Light teratozoospermia)

------------------------------------------

My family doctor seems to think that its no big deal and that we should be able to naturally conceive but I can't talk to the urologist so...

Can someone get me more precision on this, about the results and the probability of naturally conception?

Thanks to all of you!!!

Hi!
Here is a link to a nice page about semen analysis:
http://www.ivf-infertility.com/infertility/investigations/male/semen.php

It seems from what I see that every lab is a little bit different on what they report and what their normal parameters are, but from the looks of your results, I would say that you two might benefit from Intrauterine Insemination.  This is an office procedure and is much easier and cheaper than In vitro.  It only takes one sperm to conceive, so it will probably happen eventually, you just may want to speed up the process by IUI.

Good luck!

Oops I've made a mistake when I wrote down the results.

Microscopic morphology : 20% Normals and 80% abnormals...

Sorry about that... and thanks again
